 Packing Configurations for Control Valves

Live-Loaded PTFE - V-Ring (standard)
For maintence free stem seal the Live-Loaded PTFE - V-Ring is both pressure energized and live - loaded by a 304 stinless steel pring to acutomatically compensate for packing wear. Maximum serice terature is 460° (238°C). V-rings can be inverted for vacuum service. This packing configuration is available on Kombat, Intimidator, Boss and Doctor Actuators.

PTFE/Graphite (Optional)
Split rings allow packing replacement without removal of actuator. Graphite impregnated PTFE provides 500°F (260°C) service temperature, better emory and sealing than pure PTFE rings, lowered stem hysteresis, and is ideal for fluids that contain suspended particles. The PTFE/Graphite option is available on the Intimidate, Boss and Doctor Actuators.



High Temperature Laminated Graphite (optional)
Split rings allow packing replacement without removal of actuator. Precision die-cut laminated graphite rings provide a reliable, tight stem seal to operating temperatures of 800+ °F (426°C). The High Temperature Laminated Graphite is available on the Intimidator, Boss and Doctor.
