William F. Oberbeck Sr., 96, of Kirkwood died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

Mr. Oberbeck graduated from Beaumont High School and then Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in 1939 as a Metallurgical Engineer. He served his country in the United States Army Corp of Engineers from 1941 to 1945 during World War II. He remained in the reserves and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He worked in several engineering positions before starting Control Products in 1960. His hobbies included camping, boating, fishing, hunting and travel.

Everyone at Control Products & Advance Valve is happy to have known his friendship over the years, and we will be ever grateful for the important role he played in laying the foundation for the success of our companies to this day.

The Sharpe Valves line will include Ball Valves in Economy, Industrial, and Sanitary options in sizes ranging from 1/2" thru 12". Sharpe's automation products include; pneumatic and electric actuators, gear operators, positioners and solenoids. The ABZ Valve and Controls line will offer butterfly valves in HVAC, industrial, and high performance options. Sizes available in 2" thru 72".
