Installation: Galvanizing Plant
Challenge: Provide a turnkey solution for heating the customer's acid cleaning tanks.
Control Products worked with the customer to determine the correct sizing and configuration of a boiler for their system. By going a step further and utilizing a Parker boiler skid, the customer gained the benefits of a pre-piped and pre-wired package on a common base, with single point connections and single source responsibility.
Installation: Large 1200 bed hospital
Challenge: Increase available steam flow capacity while reducing station noise.
A local hospital was experiencing two problems with a competitor's steam PRV station: insufficient flow capacity and complaints of excessive valve noise from the nearby surgery suite. Working closely with the hospital and the mechanical contractor, Control Products offered custom solutions to solve both of these problems, while working within the confines of the existing steam header spacing and a tight time schedule for the project!
Installation: Precision Castings Foundry
Challenge: Offer a comprehensive and energy-efficient solution to provide steam and hot water for the customer’s foundry production facility.
A manufacturer of high quality castings needed a complete equipment package to provide high pressure steam, as well as hot water, for their processes. Control Products was able to offer an integral design, incorporating a Parker HP steam boiler, steam-to-water heat exchangers & controls, and a 500 gallon insulated hot water storage tank. Of particular interest was an energy-saving steam vent condenser, which we provided to recover waste heat from the customer’s autoclave system, and put it to work heating water, significantly reducing their energy usage.

Installation: Chemical Manufacturing Plant
Challenge: Provide automated valve packages for customer's high viscosity process fluid.
When a growing chemical manufacturer needed automated valves for a plant expansion, they trusted Control Products to provide a solution. Due to the high viscosity nature of the clean fluid being processed, we offered Sharpe 316SS high-performance ball valves with integral hot water jackets and clean service tri-clamp connections. Pneumatic actuation and valve position transmitters completed the package.

Installation: Craft Brewery
Challenge: Provide complete steam boiler equipment solution with limited space for installation.
Control Products worked closely with the owner of an up-and-coming craft brewery to provide a complete steam boiler solution for their new plant. The equipment supplied included the Parker low-pressure steam boiler with Kompact-mounted feed water system, boiler blowdown tank, water softener, and chemical feeder, all within the limits of the small boiler room.

Installation: Food Additive Manufacturer
Challenge: Supply complete controls package to maintain temperature and pressure in food additive batch processing.
When faced with a tight schedule to complete work on a new plant expansion project, a local mechanical contractor looked to Control Products for answers. We were able to supply a complete controls solution for multiple steam-jacketed batch tanks as well as for a plate & frame heat exchanger. This included Spence steam regulators, steam traps, and custom control panels with digital PID controllers to allow for operator interface, as well as accurate control of product temperature and maximum steam pressure.
